The Custom Simple and Custom Formal Packages are ideal for couples seeking a personally tailored but straightforward ceremony that includes a mix of classic elements, starting with a simple welcome and dedication followed by your choice of thematic content.  Add in the exchange of vows and rings, your celebratory kiss, and the signing of your marriage certificate, and Custom ceremonies, whether secular or spiritual, formal or informal, result in a wedding that is streamlined and classy.

The Custom Simple Package includes:

  • One in-person or videoconference planning consultation after you book your date, focused on developing a simple format anchored by streamlined custom thematic content (e.g., a reading)

  • Follow-up text, email, and phone contacts as we fine-tune your ceremony details

  • Preparation and filing of all necessary civil marriage paperwork

  • Typical ceremony length and format: 10-15 minutes | 4-6 bridesmaids/groomsmen (noted for guidance, not a strict limit)

The Custom Formal Package includes all of the above, as well as:

  • An additional in-person or videoconference planning consultation, focused on developing a fully customized ceremony that uniquely reflects you as a couple, plus coaching and guidance on writing personalized vows (if desired)

  • Custom Formal ceremonies integrate additional thematic content such as multiple readings or a ritual element (e.g., a candle-lighting or specialized ring ceremony) and also include an address by your officiant to connect your ceremony themes to your personal story; your officiant also will coordinate with a wedding planner, if you have one, to ensure your ceremony integrates with the rest of your event as it evolves

  • Given their additional content, custom ceremonies are ideal for ceremonies with wedding parties of six or more

  • Typical ceremony length and format: 15-25 minutes | 6-10 bridesmaids/groomsmen (noted for guidance, not a strict limit)

The basic fee for the Custom Simple Package is $550, and the basic fee for the Custom Formal Package is $675.  For weddings outside New York City, other options, small-wedding discounts, and additional specifics, consult the options and terms.
